I have been a little dissapointed with the English rugby team, i know compared to the footballers it is very tame, even so I am still surprised, but i must say "how thick is Mike Tindall" you are married to the Queens grandaughter, surely you must realise you will be in the spotlight.........obviously not!!!

Good point - it's presumably only socttish welsh and irish journalists that continually have a go at England - understandable really, as they've got nothing to celebrate

i always love it when the Scots go on about us celebrating 1966, when all they have to celebrate is the Ladies Stone Throwers ;)

What's a socttish?

Yawn. The problem is English fans really do think that the teams are better than they are and build them up pre tournament as world beaters. When, in reality, they are nothing more than yobs and hooligans, both rugby and football.

She was an ex girlfriend. Fair enough. It doesn't mean he was going to bed her.

So what.

I'm more concerned with the rubbish standard of the English rugby team. Ok, they have won so far, and the French have been worse, but heck, I can't see them getting much further.

It's egg chasing and he's engerlish so who really cares?

He's a bloke,deal with it.

A little disappointed?Really?Honestly?

Yes! Really? they are representing their country surely they can behave for a couple of weeks?? so if your.. mm.... partner(don`t know you:o) carried on like that on national telly, you would be OK with that???

Its arrogance johnboy, pure arrogance.. i tend to agree with you on tindalls behaviour , his behaviour on cctv clip was disrespectful if nothing else. ok it doesnt over bother me but if i had spent that mad ammount of money to travel that far to support my team then id expect at the very least professionalism. surely as a sportsman its an honour to play at any world cup.. then why not knuckle down for the period of the tournament then let off steam when your tournament is over unfortunatly england have one of the most ignorant arrogant men in the world as their manager & that has seeped into the players , this world cup is there for the winning by any of the teams left in it so the least they can do is give it 110%

Ah I understand it now,He's your partner.

I thought he was just some bloke you don't know and have no connection to other than he played for the team you follow.

Spot on Chris.
Do you remember the football world cup last year ? As usual they were talking about winning it,but finished second in the group stage behind the MIGHTY usa,and were then humiliated by the Germans, and spent the rest of the tournament whining about the goal that was disallowed.pmsl

Extremely!!!!

I think Professionalism has bought in the less intelligent/yobbish/footballer type of player. Years ago most of the players were intelligent and articulate enough to actually hold a conversation. It was the embodiment of the "Football is a game for Gentlemen played by Hooligans and Rugby is a Hooligans game played by Gentlemen" phrase.
These days, barring a few, there seem to more grunts and "y'know"'s coming from the Rugby interviews than appear on there are on MOTD.

+1 on that. Cannot blame the fans though...all they do is follow what the media tell them...like lost sheep.

To be honest, it's the media who build the team up, not the fans.

Pretty much every England fan I spoke to before the World Cup rated our chances fairly badly. Our players are excellent when they have their club shirts on (this is evident in the CL) but put an England shirt on them and they play like a Rangers player ().
As an England fan, I sort of expect to qualify from the group (dependant on who's in the group, obviously) but we then get shown up in the next stage - either during 90 minutes or penalties.

So, us England fans are normally very realistic about our chances. The media, however, are not.
