Hi recently bought some ping i3 irons white dot and a little too long. Any idea how much to cut off to make into black dot?

Careful, the Colour code is the lie angle...not the length of the club! Talk to a Pro, they'll sort you out!

If i remember correctly, 1/2 inch equates to 1° of lie.
So...White (3°) up to Black youd need to cut 1 1/2 inches off the shafts.
Thats a lot of change and could make them feel incredibly light.
You could trim 1/2 inch and then get them bent a couple of degrees but Pings can be hard to bend.
If I were you, I'd sell them and find some non altered black dots.

I thought ping made alterations for free? Why not give them a ring at gainsborough?

Yes. Pretty sure any Pro with a Ping account will sort this out. I've done it before and the didn't even charge me for postage... a bottle of his favourite tipple was left in the pro shop as a thank you!

One thing to bear in mind that Black dot on i3s is not the same as black dot in a current set of Pings.
