How many times ?

Sadly a regular event over there.
Just goes to show what happens when you allow the general population access to firearm.
It will happen again & again until they introduce gun control & get all the illegal firearms off the streets, (a nearly impossible task)
Thank goodness for our tough gun laws.

Maybe this one will jolt a few of those opposed to Gun Laws and something actually gets done.
How is the NRA going to defend itself now...........

Somehow, sadly, I doubt it anything will ever change.

Will there be a gun massacre in the USA before they repeal their idiotic " Right to bear arms". ?

Very sad, trouble is any politician who tries to change American gun laws would not stand a snowballs chance in hell of being elected. Don't blame the politicians, blame the population of the USA.

On a home front it is good to see the SNP bringing in licence laws to own an airgun.
Another inititive that England and Wales will no doubt follow in a few years.

If there is one person who can help make the change, it's the most powerful man in the western world........and a father.

The difficulty he will have is breaching the basic constitutional rights, change 1 thing and where does it stop, however where's there's a will there's a way and I sincerely hope he can make a difference.

Can't stop thinking about these poor babies and their families, I'm sick to my stomach.

Putting armed guards at schools will only mean that they are shot first by any detirmed gunman, that said one or two armed guards getting shot in the line of duty will make them heroes and give the chance for the school to go into lockdown, hopefully before anyone else was killed, but this raises the point of how do you value human life? Is an armed guards life any less valuable than that of a childs?

Not all Americans are fruitloops, but the fact that guns are so easily accessible just means that when someone does go off the rails the potential for some catastrophic happening is a lot higher.

Sadly, an indictment of the American psyche is that if you go on their golf sites and go into their 'off topic' lounges they aren't debating it. No doubt there is some shock and horror but they don't appear to care enough...

I also occasionally look at the Fender guitar forum. There was a post in their equivalent of OOB which lasted 5 posts before being locked by the mods. The reason given for locking it was " It would lead to someone advocating Nazi like gun control leading to the confiscation of all firearms."

They don't even want to discuss it!

Do you realy think if someone is nuts enough to shoot people he wont get a gun if he wants one ? legaly or illeagly ? there are hundreds of thousands of guns through out the utd states .. not everyone is a mass killer , id say percentage wise the responsible ones farrrr out weigh the others

What happened is a massive disaster and i dont supose from this distance we can ever fully know the hurt & shock of it ...

ive had access to & use of guns (not automatics no) since i was 11 or 12 , ive never shot anyone ,

The gun lobby in the states is too strong & has too much financial clout , i cant see anything changing anyhow .. political suicide , and whether we like it , power to the big knobs in the USA is the be all & end all
