As a member who signed up a while ago but have only recently started to make contributions, it is often a case of not wanting to duplicate what has already been said or catching a thread in full flow rather than adding late comments. probably like this one is. ;)

Don't let that stop you, threads get duplicated all the time an we still discuss them - now who's for a S&T or 'how far you hit it thread'?

My goto yardage for my 7-iron is now 165yds seeing that I keep my weight on my left side... ;) ;) ;) ;)

FIGHT!!!!! :D

And i like using an electric trolley, can't understand these people that carry.....

Get ready for total war now!! :D

Custom fitting is a total waste of time unless you are a dwarf or a giant. ;)

You're right.... maybe I'll carry,.... but should I take the hybrid or long iron? :p

Dunno, but i wouldn't wear a glove though, especially a black one!

What ever irons you choose you should get some iron head covers to help keep them nicer for longer.

If you get the right covers they can look pretty cool too.

I've decided when I play golf next, I'm only going to play to the rules I agree with and only on parkland courses because links golf is for learners.

At last some sensible posts. ;)

And on that theme it might be easier to list a few things a bit less controversial that we are known to ALL agree on.....

Pink castle tees are exclusively for the better golfer.

Slow play is caused solely by marking your card on the green.

Kilts are for women.

Pings are for knobs.

Putting aids are brilliant as you don't even need to practice.

300yds is an average drive, don't forget to add on any run.

That one-ball behind who thinks he has the right to play through can sod off!

... and parkland courses are the true test of golf.

Do senior golfers even own pitchmark repairers?

To be fair James, most of us don't hit the ball high or hard enough to make a pitchmark - or even hit the green often. :o

Anyway, if you are going to be bitchy like that, I don't think that I'll bother to come down to your gaff on Sunday for the game.  ;) ;)
