How many have you played? (Top 200)

15 of the first 100 - will be adding one more next week and a 4 more next year

12 of the next 100 with one more added next week and hopefully a few more after that

13 & 17 for me. I was quite surprised as I didn't think I would have played that many of them. I think living at St Andrews covered a lot of the ones I've played. Not really played many south of the border though.

At the risk of stirring it up I want to out a question out there. Do people still think that The Old Course is the 3rd best course in the UK?

Yes it is the home of golf, yes it has a certain feeling about it, but I never have and never will see it as the best golf course I have ever played. Going on the marking criteria unless I have missed something, what catering facilities are available to the general public, that are provided by the course.

3rd best course.. No chance. But 1st best experience IMHO

Just 6 and 4 for me and probably won't be adding to that any time soon. Out of those, 3 were on corporate freebies. I just won't pay silly money for golf.....and the majority of these charge silly money.

Top 100 played 16 with 10 new confirmed for next year.

101-200 played 10 with 3 courses on next years plan.

Thought I had played more of the top 100.

None - Until the kids grow up and move away I suspect that wont change. The courses on there are not cheap and I can't justify the cost whilst the kids are sucking my cash up. Unfortunately I am not on the corporate golf bandwagon. If only.....

I'm not on the corporate golf bandwagon and played a few

Always good deals around to play on a number of those courses without the need to break the bank

15 from the top 100 for me and 9 from 101-200. The last visit to a course on the list was Ashridge about 5 years ago. Have played much less golf since then.

Still a few I want to tick off my must play list in the next few years

12 in the top 100 and 14 in the next 100, which kind of proves I'm a bit of cheapskate :D

It's all about taste and I'm a bit of fan of the newer styles of courses, so personally would have the Grove, Celtic Manor, Woburn, London Club etc well up the list and some of the links courses a fair bit lower, but I can see the attraction in all courses as at the end of the day they are all lovely tracks on that list. Would happily play anyone of them tomorrow rather than be at work.

I'm absolutely gob-smacked, having played far more of them than I thought!

13 of the 1st 100
10 of the 2nd 100.

Slime.
