Only played 6 new courses this season Waterville, Tralee, Dooks, Dingle Links, Tain and played Leven Links today in the winter league. I don't see what all the fuss about Leven Links is ,in my eyes it was ok nothing special.

Should have been 7 new ones as played Elie as well which was a cracking course, add in the old favourites Carnoustie Championship, Monfieth Medal,Panmure, Crail Balcomie and Downfield its been a not to bad a year i would say.

Seventeen for me this year:
Elland
Willow Valley championship course
Leeds Golf Club (cobble hall)
Huddersfield (Fixby)
Wetherby
Outlane
Crosland Heath
Wath
Waterton Park
Castlefields
Woodhall Spa Bracken
Woodhall Spa Hotchkin
Disney Oak Trail (Florida)
Cookridge Hall
Halifax Bradley Hall
Belton Woods Lakes
Belton Woods Woodside

Favourites have to be both Woodhall Spa courses, Howley Hall, Cookridge Hall and my new home course of Huddersfield Fixby. I enjoyed the others too, can't say there was a bad track amongst them.

It it would have been more, but bizarrely I didn't manage to play a single away friendly!

Played 26 different courses, of which 15 were for the first time. Of these, my favourites were the two courses at Enville (Highgate and Lodge), Seacroft, and Monte Rei in Portugal.

These are my new courses from this season that I can remember....

Murcar
Cruden Bay
Carnoustie
Birkdale
Newburgh
Porthmadog
Moor Allerton
Glenbervie
Pannal
Royal Aberdeen
North Berwick
Blackmoor
Camberley Heath

There must be either a lot of retired or a lot of divorced people on this forum. I think I played 7-8 courses this year. No fancy Dan ones. Favourite was Whitley Bay.

I really need to play more at my home club next season :o

21 new courses for me and another few from the top 100 picked off.

Stand out courses for me were Trump and Royal Aberdeen and the most enjoyable of the lot North Berwick by a country mile.

33 different courses that I can recall of which 22 are in the latest GM top 100 and 15 were new courses played for the first time.

Stand out course for me was Fancourt Links in South Africa.

Not as many as many, but new ones for me were

Auchterarder
Carnoustie
Carnoustie Burnside
Crieff
Cruden Bay
Dunaverty
Harburn
Fairmont Kittocks
Kilspindie
Machrihanish
Machrihanish Dunes
Monifieth
Murcar
Musselburgh Old
Trump Aberdeen

plus repeat visits to

Baberton,
Goswick,
Mortonhall &
Ratho Park.

Best on-course experience - Carnoustie,
best value for money - Aucherarder,
best bacon roll - Trump Aberdeen,
best front 9 - Machrihanish,
Best Views - tie between Dunaverty & Cruden Bay
best 'bettering expectations' - Murcar.

I enjoyed the rest too - except Machrihanish Dunes which I found annoying - too may blind shots and stupid bounces, just give it a miss and play the wonderful original again if you go there.
