Just how hot does your battery charger get?

I'm only asking as mine has got incredibly hot charging my battery this evening. I've turned it off for now.

The red light was still showing and it had not turned to green.

Hapless it should get warm but not hot.......It could be either the battery or the charger...
Did the battery get hot also.....

Mine gets very hot when it's on 'red' but then cools down markedly when on 'amber' and 'green'.

I guess that's why the charger is so well vented.
