How far to the club you are a member of?

Yeah thats my delema funky fred. I cannt decide if somewhere closer that would cost a bit more but as good of a course would be a better idea to join as it would allow me to play a bit more offten.

13 miles and 25 mins in the car.

The travelling doesnt bother me at all, its the quality of golf that does!

I'm in the same dilemna.

I live 25 miles from my club and it takes anything from 18 mins (don't tell plod please) to 30 mins each way dependent on traffic. It's 90% motorway so not too bad. I can get there after work in the summer in 20 mins as well, but at the moment i am only able to play after work on one night of the week.

I really like the club, the facilities, have met a few folk and am enjoying playing in the comps there. Thing is, because it's so far away, i find it harder to justify a sneaky few holes after work on most nights.

There's a really good course (West Lothian Golf Course) about a 2 minute drive from home that i am seriously considering for next year but i need to weigh up the pros and cons of losing out on where i am now (Swanston).

im lucky i have 3 golf clubs within 1/2 mile i am a member of one but do play the others... all in the mersey valey .... 10 min stroll

2 to 3 miles away from home, same distance from work so no excuse for not playing often, some weeks I get out 4 times, some weeks only once but I guess a lot of people are in the same boat.

About 4 miles and roughly 10 min drive.

under 5 miles, under 10 minutes.

Not tempted to join a better course 15 minutes or an even better one 20 minutes. (17 miles, 20 minutes on A road....not much good for a quick 9).

Actually planning to move in the near future....might try and get within powakaddy distance.
