How did it not go in??

50 yard pitch on our 6th hole today, from the first cut, completely mullered the edge of the hole, made a hell of a crack off the flagstick and one of our fourball was almost at the green said it looked great from the side view. Why didn't it just go in!!
anyone else get close or closer this week.

Had a tee shot with my lob wedge the other day that bounced just right of the hole and then spun left to about the same distance that pitch mark is. I genuinely thought this was my time to get a hole-in-one but alas it just didn't drop

I hit a PW from just under a 100 to similar distance yesterday (didnt pitch that close though) which was voted "shot of the day" but hole of the day must have been the 7th when my partner and I both chipped in!
