How crap do you have to play before you're really disappointed?

I'm stunned. Absolutely flabbergasted.

Given that I only expect to play to handicap a couple of times a season, then anything a few shots above that is normally pretty good.

Even 7 or 8 over handicap normally has some good in it if you look hard enough.

On the other hand there are times when it is really, REALLY tough, when nothing works and there seems to be absolutely no point in even finishing the round. But even then I'm betting I could find enough good in the round to start dreaming of next time....

Next time, when I'm going to play Really well - I just know it.

Do not like having to write a total down that begins with an 8. Just a real barrier for me at 80 and it gets to be a real p*** poor score at that point.

Interesting to read that people are satisfied if they swing it well or have a good ball striking day. Isn't that missing the point of the game?? Swing like a dog for a 75 or like a god for an 80??

Ha! Thanks Chris... I am trying :(

The back injury thing has had me pretty stressed and I've been playing quite a bit trying to find something... I'm knackered mentally and physically now - played today and was asleep at 6.30pm, anyone that knows me knows that isn't me. Feeling positive though.... just tired.

Perhaps you need a bit more rest/sleep James - seriously! There's no better healing process than sleep, as they say.

But with an attitude like the above, it will come, keep at it mate.
