Babysitting the youngest , HID gone to neighbours for few drinks , having worked pubs & clubs for the last 20 years the sparkle goes off the yahooism that surrounds new years..

pubs over charged customers over here in the millenium , so peple threw house partys , new years only picking up again now 12 years later , next generation i supose ..

Anyhow happy new year to all , may 2013 be everything you hope it will be

Went to bed about 12.30am but woke up at 5.30 and fully awake with the brain whirring away. Rare for me to a) miss a chance to sleep, b) wake myself up and not go back to sleep, c) the brain to be active at that time.

Hoping it isn't a sign of things to come but here with a cup of tea and Sky News listening to the Mrs snore her head off upstairs

I didn't touch a single drop of drink last night really didn't fancy it. My whole family went to my sisters for a small gathering which came to an abrupt end about 11 o clock when my brother threw his toys out of his pram about something very trivial and stormed out demanding his wife to go with him. In short made himself look a prat, so that kind of fizzed it all out. After that waited till midnight lit some Chinese lanterns and can home and was in bed by 1215.

Next time think I'll stick a film on at home and go to bed early, as NYE has lost it's appeal for me

Well my plans have changed! My lazy New Year's Day is now me waiting for my father in law to come round with his drain rods. The next hour will see me elbow deep in **** while I unblock my drain where one of my lovely children have probably used a whole toilet roll and flushed it... Great! Happy new year everyone!

Stayed in feeling bad.
1st day post shoulder operation. Hardly slept a wink last night and now I'm officially a grumpy old bugger!
Counting down the days before I have my next game.............1 down, 180 to go :(.

HNY,

Slime.

P.S. Wasn't even allowed a drink!

Made the big mistake (as it's our 1st new year in London) decided to go into town to see the fireworks! Couldn't get anywhere near as everything was blocked off. Managed to get a great view of the fireworks...... at 2.15 when we finally managed to get home and put BBC 1 on! Totally disappointed by the information available getting home was a nightmare!

At least the course was open and quiet yesterday flew round in a little over 2 1/2 hours!

I have had a great time!!

Wedding on Hogmanay then up and back on it at 1pm yesterday and ended up home rubbered again at 11pm after a Ruby to polish the day off.

Remarkably I have been feeling fresh both yesterday and today!!

No drink now until a trip to the Alps in early February.
