Housing Development

For those of you living in the Bracknell Forest area, please see link below for the petition opposing the redevelopment.

The proposals include 3200 new houses in Binfield alone, 400 of which planned for the Blue Mountain GC site.

I think the course will be "safe" until the current lease expires which I believe is 2020.

As it is part of Crown Golf and where their operations HQ is (was) do you think there is any likelihood that they will let it go for development.

Its hard to say mate, I certainly hope not but the council want to build so many homes around here and they wont go away without a fight. Crown don't own the land instead its leased so ultimately its not their call.

All we can do is sign the petition and hope that will be enough.

Hope you keep your course guys but if I owned it and there was a chance of selling it for housing development, well it would be a bit of a no brainer. Building land around here (Midlands) is around £1.2m per acre what would you do?

I used to live in Binfield, but this was years before the golf course. Brings back memories thinking of the area again, and its sad to hear it is being developed so much.
