Myself and Mrs Woo are off on holiday in a couple of weeks to the Algarve and am looking for some good golfy reading.

Books recently read:
Dream On, Hacked off and Golf is not a game of perfect.

Hacked Off was my favourite. Anyone suggest a good light golf read? If not I will be forced to take Alan Carr with me.

If you do take Alan Carr with you, is there any chance that you can leave him there? :D

Also, can I ask why you have a photo of an Australian Cricket legend as your Avatar? :D

I loved 'Four Iron in the Soul' by Lawrence Donegan. It's laugh-out-loud funny.

I also enjoyed it but found it somewhat dated as it was written when the likes of Faldo, Woosenam and Langer were in their prime on the European Tour.

Although I haven't read it, I have heard that Bruce Edward's Autobiography 'Caddy for Life' is worth a go. Finally, and on the Watson theme, I really enjoy 'Getting up and down: How to Save Strokes from Forty Yards and in' - it is an investment and somnething you will keep returning to over the years!!

Enjoy the sun

definitely agree with this one, I think the fact that it shows the tour caddies at a much lower level than they are regarded at now makes it a lot more interesting and humourous. :D

The Tom Cox books (Sergio Garcia and Nice Jumper) are ok but weren't as good as I'd hoped. I guess you could always take another Rotella with you

Nice Jumper is my favourite golf book, I have read nearly all those in this thread and that one and 'Four iron in the soul' stand out

for something a bit off the wall try "the Phantom of the Open". It's about a bit of a character called Maurice Flitcroft. Loved it. "Four Iron..." was also really good.

If you want something a bit technical try Hogan's "Five Fundamentals..". Was like a lightbulb going off for me.

I'm currently reading 'Somewhere in Ireland a village is missing it's idot' by David Feherty. He's not everyone's cup of tea but I like him, he's witty and there are some very very funny anecdotes and observations in there - Recommended.
Much better than the Tom Cox books (which I've read) imo

Rich Beem's book: Bud, Sweat & Tees is a very good read.

Wasn't that fussed on Bring me the head of Sergio Garcia at all. Certainly didn't live up to the hype for me.
