does anyone have a company they can recomend for holiday insurance for people with medical conditions, more importantly epilepsy.

Although its been 10 years clear im about to travel to egypt and around 6 years ago my bank winced out on a pay out which had no connection to my epilepsy meaning i picked up a nice 2k bill for costs.

thanks in advance for any responses on this matter

Nightmare!!

Can't help you but will be interested in any replies.

Thankfully I am okay with my condition and any premium only charges an extra tuppence and sometimes nothing at all extra for the condition I have had for 11 years now although I have seen a change recently with less companies willing to cover at little extra cost.

Best of luck!

Sorry OS I cant give a good recommendation but I would steer clear og Insure and Go a company owned by Europ Assistance.

I was caught up in the ash cloud business and they wouldnt pay out (as others also wouldnt) they have been told to pay by the Insurance Ombudsman but still wont at the moment whereas all the other Insurers have.

Bunch of sh*ts

Best looking for specialist insurance, may cost you more but worth it.

My old man had a stroke a few years back and holiday insurance costs a fortune, worth it for the peace of mind though. "Normal" insurers we have tried normally put the policy in place but then try and pull out before you go in my experience recently.

Oddsocks - I'm in Travel, although I dont really sell that much Cover these days.
My own Annual Cover is with Holiday Extras, and it covers all except any condition that you have received treatment for within the last 2 years.
So if you're clear for ages, you should be fine.

Regardless, you can go through a Medical Screening call with them, to be sure, and the worst that they can do is agree to cover your condition, but with an extra cost perhaps.

HolidayExtras

NB : I have no affilliation - just used to sell a LOT of clients cover with them, with few problems.
