Holiday advice

Hi guys, the wife and I have got into golf over the past yr, now we’d really like to go away for a week at the end of this month. As newbies it’s a potential minefield!
Can anyone recommend either a broker to trust or a nice resort in the sun, thinking Spain Portugal , flying from Southampton or Bournemouth would be perfect

Now looking at FARO area, a nice relaxed resort please or travel company recommendedations?

I stayed a week in Penina. Has 3 courses on site and great practise facilities.

All depends on budget and how "new to golf you are." Penina is a great shout, the hotel is super and close to Alvor Town, for nights out off base. Lots of couple stay there, so it is ot just lads-groups. (Two of the courses are a 9 hole and a short course, so might suit if you've fairly new to the game as a warm up to the main course. Which isnt too tough and quite flat, so not too intimidating)

There are deals to be had with folk like "Your Golf Travel" etc or worth a direct enquiry on their website. About 45 mins drive west of Faro, and easy to find.

ps... Given your "Screen name," take a small telescopic rod and some spinners!! Some of the harbours, sea walls are full of fish!!

pps. Quinta do Lago is much nearer Faro, much nicer than most, the courses are tougher than Penina though..
