Hole in one!!

The Postage Stamp (8th) at Troon is 123 yards... and a wee bugger of a hole.

I've played it a couple of dozen times now and never been better than 3.

Respect.

Congratulations, nice to achieve one of golf's holy grails.

RE short par 3's how about the 5th at Saunton East. "Tiddler" - 123 yards. 110 off the Yellows. Green like an upturned bowl.

The website says "One of the most difficult shots at Saunton is from through the back of this green and this needs to be avoided at all costs."

I wish I'd known that when I played it few years ago. Was long and took 6 if I recall.

They are extending the hole with a new back tee. Into the wind it could be a five iron to a tiny green. :(

Our 12th is 129 yards off the whites, and I am always happy with a 3 there.

Congratulations on your first ace. On a side note I did a beat the pro competition yesterday on a par 3 with players taking me on. One guy only went and holed it and I had to hole it for the halve, I missed. 161yds with a very tight pin and his shot never left the flag.

Congratulations on the ace! Shortest hole I've seen is the 13th at Muir of Ord. It's 106 of the medals & 102 off the yellows but it's also 40ft up from tee to green so it may be short but it's certainly not easy!
