My knee has been playing up recently and I am thinking of going down the electric cart route, after reading a few reviews this seems a decent reasonably priced option.
Has anyone got any experience positive or negative or alternative recommendations.
I will be off for an annual weeks golf trip this year to the far North East of Scotland in 10 days time and want to get one before then

Thanks in advance

I did a Hill Billy day this time last year with Golf Monthly at the Grove.

I didn't buy one as I don't really have the space, but the trolley itself was good.

It's a no frills machine, which is all I would want, and seemed to be well built. Ultimately it's the same group of companies as Powakaddy, just a different level of product.

I did get a Hill Billy at the Grove and as stated it is bit basic, but I'd never go back to a manual trolley.

The Hill Billy does the job - no frills and the Lithium battery does two rounds (just). the Bag is great - loads of room. Easy to put up and take down. Easy to control/operate oh and the bag can take a good whack with a 7 iron!

Few niggles with it - no brake. speed controls a bit odd to get used to as there is no guide as to what speed you are at. Don't know if this is standard, but if you leave the battery connected to the trolley, it stays switched on. It is a little unbalanced when going up steep slopes so can tip easily. Its a bit heavy and bulky.

there are better ones on the market for sure (GM have done several reviews) but they cost more. A few of my PPs have got refurbished trolleys - Stewart/Mottocaddy - at knock down prices before.

My dad has used Hill Billy trolleys for years and he finds them superb. His original which had had in the 90s wore the gear box out after 6 years use. He rang Hill Billy and they sold him a new one at a very reasonable cost which arrived in 2 days. Again on the same trolley the handle broke after a few years use, customer service informed him they had changed the design as it was a known fault. They sent a new style handle out FOC with all the bits required to convert it.

After 12 years dad sold that and got the newer model which he's had for at least 5 years now. There's not been a single issue with the new trolley, but at least he knows if there is a problem the customer service is superb.
