A trip down memory lane today, at High Elms. Used to struggle 25 years ago there... and struggled there again today!

What condition was it in mate? In another thread, @BigPhil14 might have shown some interest in joining there while waiting to join a members club in the area.

TIA

Greens: very long and very slow. Rolled okay, but not great. Inconsistent between putting and chipping.
Bunkers: plenty of sand but some stones.
Fairways: pretty damn good. No complaints there.
Tees: some trees have encroached a little on some of the sightlines, and a little scratchy, but pretty good.
Overall: very enjoyable for the price. I wouldn't want to play there every week, but as a knock, it's really worth a visit.

Thx Bratty. Hope @BigPhil14 sees this. Were you playing off the Whites? I seem to remember donkey's years ago that the 17th off whites was like driving through a tree tunnel.

We played off the yellows and that was hard enough for my liking. Especially the par 3 13th, which is now easily the hardest par three I've ever played. Stroke Index 2 for a reason!
17th is still a little tight off the whites for sure!

Thanks for drawing my attention @Pants - I've got a round at Ingrebourne Links tomorrow to check it out as it seem to tick a lot of boxes on paper!

Hope you're well @Bratty and glad you enjoyed the round.
