Hi to everyone from a newcomer!

I want to say a big hello to everyone

I used to play golf as a junior way back in 1977. I played until around 1982.

I took up this wonderful game again after last year after a battle with cancer during 2008/2009 which I won made me re-assess my priorities in life.

Last year saw me getting both my fitness and my handicap back.

This year sees me joining a new golf club and a plan to get my handicap down to single figures by the end of the year. I'm also hoping to play as many different courses as possible throughout the year and will be going along to both the Scottish Open and the Open to see how it's done by the big-boys.

Here's to chatting with all you wonderful golfers over the coming month.
