I'm turning into Aztec aka A Mizuno Fan boy

Just added new Mizuno MP-630 driver and an MP CLK hybrid to my bag, to compliment my 5 wood and 3 iron :mmm:

Still I'm not going to complain seeing as they didn't cost me anything :whoo:

I used to be a big Taylormade whore. I had the bag, ALL my gear was TM, even down to my shoe bag and ball marker (Sad I know).

Has anyone else experienced this? You can't see past one particular brand until one bit of equipment from a different manufacturer opens your eyes?

nike (ish) whore, got the tour bag off rickg and the hybrids then added more to match, have the matching towel, iron headcovers, pitch repairer and ball marker, nike shoes, jumpers

may well change the ping anser for a nike method #5 aswell as they are lovely to putt with.

will look a bit off though as have a Ping G10 12 deg driver coming next week, may have to stick the VR headcover on though for colour coordination ;)

Don't think its counts if you don't have Mizuno irons .....:)

well done, great clubs, Is that the Fubuki shaft there Gareth? what spec and how did you blag them for free if you dont mind me asking?

Which shaft did you end up with Gareth?

Ended up with the Fubuki shaft PZ/Darth.

Tried the UST Axivcore in the driver but it didn't give the same feel as the Fubuki and seemed a little high compared to the Fubuki.I must have hit 30 balls with each driver before making my decision though.

The hybrid, again went for the Fubuki. It was really a no brainer. It felt/feels good in the driver and 5 wood so adding it to the hybrid just seemed sensible. Again hit 30 balls felt really nice and the flight didn't seem to balloon like my previous hybrid.

How did I blag them for free?

I had £120 of AG vouchers from the clubs presentation evening last Friday (1 medal and 2 Stableford wins). Then my dad decided I was selling him my R9 (presumptious I know but hey ho).

£168 later walked away with a brand spanking new driver and hybrid.

I can not resist Mizuno clubs. My first set were Mizuno Widec (that I am unable to sell) and would love to afford a set of MP59's.
Mizuno were supposed to be releasing their range of balls in Europe last year but it did not happen.

The white fubuki is a dead giveaway.

So stiff or reg, 9.5 or 10.5? Mp630 or MP630ft?

Nice vouchers, you must have won a few things last season, more next season armed with a 630.

I'm another Nike whore, thanks to RickG also !! Sold me the irons last year and then a few months later I had everything, including trousers and a nice nike belt/bukle.

Top work squire.

I'm not ashamed of my nearly-all Mizuno bag (ok, maybe a little bit) as it's been an organic progression. Needed a cheap set of 2nd hand irons and £150 later I had a nearly-new set of MP57's with the correct shaft. Then with the rest of the clubs, I demo'd various clubs but the Mizuno's produced the best results.

Wouldn't dream of changing my putter though, the Nike seems to suit me down to the ground.
