Hi everyone as I hav previously stated I started playing golf a year ago. I was playing to 24. I have had a number of lessons and through practice I am now playing to 14 although recent scores suggest possible drop to 12. Now my question is when I started I had a terrible slice which through the lessons I hav cured and my pro worked hard to get me to hit a draw which almost all of my shots do now. My question is when I hit a bad shot a have a big draw or possibly even a hook tho its definitely not as wild as my slice was. Do you think it is wise for me to continue on the path I am on by drawing most shots and except the odd hook. I ask this cos I can't afford loads of lessons all the time so hav to practice myself. I will say that the last month or so I am ball striking great and my pro did say there must be a kind of natural ability compared to how I was when I started,so I am just curious to your views?
Thanks

I would say keep on the path your on.
Changing swings all the time wil have an adverse effect.
I would suggest still practice the fade as well, just in case you get to a course that requires
a fade.

hi, i would say stick with the draw shoot if they going near to target, i think its harder to correct a slice then a hook plus the drew looks the better shot when it works ,,if i was you i would practice a few 18 holes by myself & no scoring to try small changes to see if i can make a difference to my shoots

You say you can't afford loads of lessons, but my advice would be to book a single 30 minute refresher. Call it a 2012 MOT. I'm sure if most of the shots are going with a nice draw there is something small going on that causes the hooks. I'm sure if you had a session or two at the range after the lesson to work on the fix/drills then you'll be back to hitting it well in no time.
