Can someone recommend me a 3 wood that is really easy to hit please. Prefferably something from last season or so?

I'm currently playing off 19 playing my second season and looking to drop a good few this year.

I have a G10 9 degree stiff driver that I hit very well for the most part. I get lessons most weeks but this seems to have detriment to my striking and squaring the face depending what I've been working on.

So can someone advise me of a really easy to hit 3 wood that is fairly forgiving that will be a better option for me off the tee when the driver is in the naughty cupboard

Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated :)

thanks

oh I currently have a Mizuno F-50 3 wood that is in the naughty cupboard more than the bag!

have a go with a Cleveland Fairway wood, you can pick them up fairly cheaply. Very easy to hit and very forgiving...

I've got the 09 launcher 3-wood and its certainly easy to hit. Goes pretty well too when hit properly (or so I'm told... :p)

You should be able to find one for around £50-60 if you look hard enough

I've looked at these but can't find any with a stiff shaft other thanskyed ones on ebay. I'll keep looking.

I'm still open to suggestions :)

You could always look for a Ping Rapture 3 wood.

Mines a mk.I but I think there are still v2's out there.

It's probably got the safest place in my bag compared to all of the other gear.

Can't ever see a reason why I would want to replace it.

The 08 Burner is down to about 60 quid in some AG stores so worth a look. Otherwise try the Cleveland Hi Bore XLS from a few years ago. Lovely feel to it. I've just realised I've still got my old one and a 5 wood if you are interested. I'll get some pics up in the next few days and could possibly do a deal for both

MX700 is a good call as is the Launcher. I have owned both but ended up settling with a Callaway Diablo Edge, very long and useable off the tee and fairway.

Tm v steel - have a look on g bidder or fleabay your pick one up for £40 and your struggle to find a bad word against them - cannot understand why they got discontinued!

I've never got on well with fairway woods but I decided to take a punt on an MD Golf Superstrong 3 wood a few weeks ago and without having a lesson, I am hitting it like a dream. Played a round tonight with a few guys and they all took interest in it. Easy to hit, long, straight....and cost me £45 new off ebay. Gets my vote and I will be leaving my R9 out of the bag next time I play to see how I get on! I love it! :D

Thanks for all the help people :)

Not yet decided, quite like the look of the MX700 but not one about with a suitable shaft at the mo. I just don't like the look of those Nike ones when I'm stood above them. Maybe I'll get used to it and get one yet though.

Homer what shaft in your Cleveland?
