ha ha, ok......thanks for the welcome guys.

I'm not attached to a club officially at the minute, 2 young kids and my own business puts paid to that, so play socially and a bit of corporate golf maybe once / twice a month if I'm lucky at the minute. Still massively in love with the game though, watch as much golf as possible, always go to the Open and have done for 12 or 13 years, and look forward to the day when I can play a bit more regularly again. Based in the North East and have been a member of Chester Le Street, Roseberry Grange, Heworth and Slaley Hall over recent years, play most of my social golf at Dunstanburgh Castle on the Northumberland coast, great little links track designed by James Braid, on a nice day there isn't anywhere better.

In terms of my golf, my last official handicap was 9, not that impressive considering I was playing off 5 at 21 years old and steadily went backwards since then, still get it round ok but like most who don't play often enough, the short game has suffered through lack of practice. Trying to get my little lad (5 in December) interested at the minute and hopefully that will be me and him spending Saturday mornings on the golf course before too long!!
