Good afternoon and a brief introduction... I 'discovered' this forum a few months back when I had a bit of time on my hands after being made redundant... I have been revisiting, on occassion, since. Tried once or twice previously to join up but my ageing eyes struggled with deciphering the random letters/numerals must've got lucky on this occassion!

I started playing golf in the late 80's and have played on and off since. Resumed playing again a couple of years back after a break of about three years. Try and play at least once a week employment/arthritus allowing. Only, currently, a social player at one of my local pay 'n play courses. Though I did do one or two comps a long time back when I joined the club attached to a local 'muni'. So I haven't really got a handicap. On a good day I break 90 but mostly get around in the mid/low 90's...

My other great interest is motorsport...

I have previously been a member of other forums [not golf related]... Gave up on one as it became dominated by half a dozen or so that delighted in criticising any post they didn't approve/agree with... The other was more related to my kids interest of RC racing which they are no longer active so I rarely visit there these days...

I would also like to apologise in advance for my appalling grasp of English grammar... 40+ years since I sat my O levels and it shows! Do though, try and get my i's and e's in their correct order!

Welcome aboard Steve.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it on here - I don't think the grammar police are allowed to cross the threshold! ;)

Welcome to the forum, a man after my own heart, golf and Motorsport!

Glad to have you along. There are half a dozen people like that in every forum covering every subject. Get what you want out of a forum and don't worry about the other bit.

Where are you residing?

Al

Np I read where you are from, I grew up in Chalfont so not far from you.

Thankyou for your warm welcomes... Much appreciated!

Not aware of being related to any other 'Mega Man' but you never know...

Mega Steve was a moniker given to me at a previous work place as I apparently used the word mega a lot...
Though I was never aware of this until the 'lads' pointed it out to me...
Could have been a lot worse I am sure...
