Helicopter Crash

Looks horrific!

My heart did a flip when the news came thro' - daughter #1 works just around the corner. Thankfully she's already been in touch.

heard it on the radio and just read up on the news. sounds awful, hope the impact is minimal and as many people as possible are safe.

Passed through Vauxhall Station what must have been 20minutes after the crash and had no idea that it had happen a couple of hundred yards away. The trains on teh way into London did get held at stations for 5 mins about 8ish with no explaination but everything seemd normal when I changed to the Victoria line at Vauxhall.

My train passed Vauxhall a few mins after this happened. I didn't have a clue anything had happened until someone mentioned it at work.

Friend of mine currently doing some work on the lifts in the The Tower at St George Wharf, said they heard some rumblings then went out to see what was happening and carnage ensued. Naturally they've down tools for the day, but can't imagine how those with family felt waiting to hear to make sure they're ok.

Shocked to here there is no legal requirement to have lights on at time when visibility might be poor. The just have to have them on up to 30minutes after sun rise.
