My dad was a headteacher in a primary school in Manchester. Rolf Harris used to go around schools giving assemblies, doing drawings etc. We have a large caricature of my dad, drawn by the man itself. It's a really good drawing but.........................

An old teacher of mine from my secondary school who has since been found guilty of sexually assaulting boys at the school.
He was always a nasty piece of work, and made my life in school hell, not with sexual assaults, but his aggressiveness and nastiness towards me. Glad to say he's in jail now and I hope he rots there.

I was going out with a girl at school and one of the teachers kind of hit on her at a party we were both at (and looking back what the hell was a teacher doing at a students house party...) but she made it clear she was not interested. He then started 'seeing' another girl who must have been about 14 or 15 and whilst it was not exactly normalised, it was common knowledge they were seeing each other and he was still teaching when I left the a school 2 or 3 years later.

Fishing one hot day. Only one on the fishery. Had a can of Coca-Cola at the side of my seat. Not a lot left so took a head back swig of it.
Felt something in the mouth and spat out. A wasp.
Jeez. Realised if it had stung the throat, I would have been a goner.

The Royal Marines have an interesting history with Saville!

Knowing that every time I visit a mates grave, Saville’s buried in the plot right behind him.

Surely unmarked? I am surprised he has not been exhumed, cremated and spread somewhere unkown.

Many, many moons ago a friends lad had a terrible accident seeing him spending a long period of time in Stoke Mandeville... My friend and his wife had huge concerns about JS almost straight away... So much so they put it into writing, to the hospital, that they strictly forbid any contact with their son and JS... They were really puzzled that their concerns weren't more widespread...

The headstone was certainly removed.
His old apartment is barely 1/2 mile from where I sit now.... shiver!! They were unable to sell it until it had a make-over of some kind that removed all signs of it being his.... took several years, though don't know what it involved. It's still Saville's place to us locals...... shiver again.

On a different note a couple of years ago it came in the local papers and Kent online website that one of my former science teachers who taught throughout my time at school and then went on to work for the MOD designing bomb products had been convicted of over 30 counts of child sex abuse dating back to my time at school with pupils from our school. Gave me shivers thinking that I must have known some of his victims, vile scum of a man.

Initially buried with his coffin entombed in concrete and his Gravestone was a massive 3 sided thing paid for by local businessmen.

Once the scandals broke the headstone was removed and broken up and the plot simply grassed over, so if you didn’t know the location initially you’d never know he’s there!

The Kincora Bar, still a crap name and nobody will forget what it was called. Or the fact our history is tainted with being the pall bearers for his coffin. His honorary award of his green lid has also be posthumously rescinded l.

Not a great part of our at all history that one...
