I've recently acquired Ping G10 irons and have been told by the guys I play with that I should have the lie and loft adjusted to my swing. I know of a decent place that does it but was wondering what the process was. I stuck some impact stickers on the clubs today and found that I hit my 7 iron sweet out of the middle but longer irons I tend to hit from the toe end and short irons from the shaft end of the club face. Do club fitters adjust each club differently or do they take an average iron and adjust them all to the same lie etc?

a proper club fitter will assess you each club - but what you describe isn't a function of loft or lie per se. It may be a result of you adjusting your set up to the perceived lie of the clubs; but again a good club fitter will look at this as well.

Slight problem, G10's are cast clubs so you are very limited as to what you can do with them. A lot of guys won't touch them in case they snap but you might find someone who is willing to adjust them by a degree or 2 maximum.

Most Ping Irons have an adjustment notch in the hosel,so loft/lie adjustments are not a problem.Ping will adjust them for free,or try a local clubfitter, who will probabll charge around £20-£30 for the set.

I wondered what that notch in the hosel was for.....now I know :D

Don't let this put you off Kinhell (love the name), it isn't true and any Ping dealer will send them back to Ping for adjustment.

I'm taking them here http://fourashesgolfcentre.co.uk/crazy-golf in the morning. he said he would check them and adjust them for me. He's the local golf club guru and has been doing it for years. I shall report back any useful info I get off him.

I'm good friends with one of the owners. They are very knowledgeable guys, and very very good at what they do.

Went there today and the guy said the clubs were too long so he is cutting them down and then will sort out the lie etc on Thursday when I go see him again. Hopefully it wont be so foggy then unlike today and I can hit some balls.

Cutting them down will effect the swingweight, so they may feel discernably lighter when you get them back, you may lose a bit of distance. If you send them back to Ping they will shorten them and re-swingweight. (The part at the back of the clubhead that says ping on it is actually a weight, these can be changed so that the swingweight remains the same even when you shorten or lengthen clubs).

I do it myself.........
