Have you ever gone to a demo day or a range shop looking to buy/try one thing and end up buying another.
Look out Luton Hooers, Teegirl has a new driver :) :) :)

I've never bought a club from a range/demo day , so no for me ;)

Is teegirl still in the honeymoon period with the driver then Bob , maybe she can join us off the whites for some serious driving challenge :D

The demo day was yesterday and she ordered her new driver about 4pm.
The chances are the first time she uses it will be at Luton
And........
What do you mean, join US off the whites?
Who's off the whites? I'm not off the whites. Are you off the whites. Not me, not at my age. I can't reach the par 4s off the yellows, never mind the whites  ;)

TBH Bob I think pros have an obligation to play off the blues :D

Bugger!!!!.....serves me right for going AWOL off the forum for a couple of (three) weeks!!!! :(

I hope they put you off the front tees at the par 3 13th!!! I'm a long hitter and i killed a 3 wood up there into the wind and was short of the green on the handy apron mown back to 40yds short of the green! :o

I have gone to lots of demo days but usually with an idea of a specific driver, wedge or iron that I'm interested in. That said I invariably try everything. Well rude not too with all that gear and free range balls. Sometimes it clicks and I'll try and haggle a price and other times I'll have my heart set on something and won't be able to hit it or them. I wanted the TP's last year but at the TM demo I couldn't hit them at all so passed and ended up with the R9's (seems like an impulse buy now). Having changed the swing and posture over the Winter I can hit the TP's now!

Thanks Jammy.....i'm tempted!!!!

Word of warning for anyone playing there that hasn't before.....take one of your clubs out of the bag and throw a crappy wedge or something in!!!
If you miss the fairways especially in the early holes the mounding and second cut of rough are very, very stoney!!!
I gouged my 6 and 9iron there!!!!

There's still spaces if you want to come.
Just donate £25 at the justgiving site as you deposit and you're in!!!

Pay the remaining £20 on the day.

Let me know ASAP if you want in and whether you want sausage or risotto.

We're playing the course off the whites, (6,850 yds), except for the 13th Par 3 which will be off the blues, (271 yds), and possibly the 18th, as the blue tees are over the road and it makes for a more interesting finish.
