Hats on the golf course, other than baseball caps....

Wasn't it Snelly who had a bit of a Mick Dundee look going on at Blackmoor. I went through a visor stage but the lack of hair meant the old monks spot kept getting burned so back to a sensible cap for me

When in Florida recently I bought a Panama hat to protect my soft Scottish head / neck. Sun isn't quite as strong here, but will pluck up courage, eventually, to wear it.

I've been toying with the idea of a large-rim sun-type hat, be it a beige trilby or panama or floppy.
I think I'd look dodgy in any of these, like I do with shades on or in a convertible car.
Can't win really, style comes to some with ease....I just look a twit.

Im very follically challenged :D :D and im not really a hat person so i have to be careful with the ol' noggin....
Im quite sallow so i dont really burn but i would love to wear a hat...

Im just not that comfortable wearing them...If i had the choice my dad got a present of a Callaway hat much like the one that Greg Norman used to wear...That straw looking think...

I think that they are really great looking. But when i try this on, my head isnt the largest so the hat looks like a sombrero on a tennis ball when i try to pull it off.... :( :( :D :D

I have one of the titleist sun hats .

Had more use this year than ever - I do fry like a lobster in the sun though so its needed (plus SPF60 suncream) - has the added advantage of my mate being put off by its elegance :)

Has attracted a few 'bandito' comments especially when I won my one and only comp wearing it - all in good humour .....I think - lol.

If You Want To Get Ahead

Get A Hat

(Advertising Slogan From The 1930's when if you didnt wear a hat you were obviously a lower form of life)

Fragger

I was after one of these a couple of years back, they did a Cobra version, but I couldn't find anywhere to buy it. I'd also like to have the bottle to wear the straw cowboy hat I have at home, but my golf is too poor to carry it off. Not only would I look like a tit in a hat, I'd be a crappy golfing tit in a hat.
