Has the BBC lost its objectivity ?

Under the current system they get their money come what may. If they had to rely on subscribers they would have to be more neutral.
No-one seems to have too much trouble with Sky News.

I do love your little post flurries :D

Why would having subscribers make them more neutral? No other news network has subscribers. Sky News is not a subscriber channel. It's on free view. And FWIW, it's far from neutral. It's a Murdoch enterprise. He can't even spell neutral.

Murdoch's rags will get behind whatever party panders to them the most.

They usually get behind the winner too...Although correlation does not prove causation

Doon just so we all know, do you consider wings to be neutral or biased?

It supports Independence.....bit of a clue there.
Interestingly the guy, who lives in Bath, is not an SNP supporter but pro indy.
He will be critical of the SNP if he thinks they are in the wrong on an issue.

Wings is very good at debunking the MSN/Media lies and brilliant at fact checking and reminding opposition ministers of the number of times they have changed their political views.
Wings is only one of many well supported pro indy sites that are changing the face of 'News' in Scotland.

Now, if that had been posted on Saturday ..... ;)

Who's side would you rather be on. Trump, Murdoch's and Dacres or the organisation that made The Thick of It, and Blackadder. Tough choice....

Thanks! I am glad I am appreciated. 😀
It would be hard to be so biased without worrying about your advertisers pulling out

It's also hard to be objective if your revenue depends on big business. Quite a tricky line the Beeb is trying to toe. Not overly surprising they get it wrong sometimes.

If the Beeb was objective the wouldn't be a 'side' to take.

Of course they would. As people will always object to reporting that does not tie in with their views and call it biased. No matter how objective it actually is.

What is wrong with just reporting the news? No bias, just news. Not a magazine program, no analysis. Just news. Like they used to.
They never used to get complaints of this number and that was when the BBC enjoyed huge audiences. Personally I would like to opt out. Not because they are biased against my views, which they are, but its just not what I want. I am an adult. I can make up my own mind. Just tell me what is happening and let me decide my opinion.
