It seems to me that the dear old Beeb is having trouble with Brexit.

UK's reported as aims/requests EU reported as requirements !

I suspect the Forum will split along Leave or Remain: but lets try !

Well both sides have attacked the BBC, so that probably means it is being pretty objective and unbiased!

BBC seem to obsess over Trump day to day activities, feminism and Brexit troubles.

Wish the public could have a vote on scrapping TV license. Why are we still forced to pay £150 for a year for state propoganda.

Well the main alternative is paying the owner of the Sun about the same every couple of months to receive his appointees view of the world!

I'll stick with the Beeb's 'Government guaranteed independence' approach thanks!

I have seen the odd article where I thought it was poorly worded.

It's not common but it can stand out when they use non-objective languages

In defence of BBC I'd just say that as we've still no idea of what we actually want, so we can hardly have any "requirements" yet?

Not saying you're wrong, but have you considered that your view of the Beeb depends heavily on your standpoint? I hear very similar arguments from those on the left.

You seem to have a very out of touch/skewed opinion if you think the BBC is pro Sturgeon and Scottish Independence.

Re The EU referendum I thought The BBC was, and still is, very biased towards the Remainers.......IMVHO.

Exactly my viewpoint. If your feelings are particularly strong one way or the other, then you will object to any reporting that does not agree with your view.
No service is perfect but I do believe the BBC does its best to be balanced and objective in its approach.
This is an interesting article that relates to individuals view of the new....
How do you tell when the news is biased? It depends on how you see yourself

So the one thing that both sides agree on is that the BBC is biased but you take that as evidence that it is unbiased.

I agree and I object to having to pay for it.
Oddly, if the BBC had to survive on its own without the licence fee it would actually make it more neutral.

I agree to a degree. But whilst I have fairly strong opinions on some of the subjects highlighted (Brexit for example) on others I don't and yet the BBC still seem biased in the way drdel says.

I don't think they're that different from any media outlet. They report the news, and then express an opinion of the news. Whether its the Telegraph, Mail, Mirror or the Times its about reading the news and deciphering the opinion.

Occasionally they're clumsy and shallow but I don't have a problem with them expressing an opinion, which I can either agree or disagree with.

I'm interested in how you think it would be more neutral. If it has to bring in advertising to pay its way then it would sell its supposed neutrality to the highest bidder. It would become dependant on big business to survive.
