Most golfers have their year or so of glory and then move back down the rankings. Harrington, Westwood, Garcia, Duval etc some make it back but most just linger about in the top 50 but not the top 10 in the world, until they disappear altogether.

Has Rory had his time?

I think he's a bit special & the best is yet to come. No guarantees of course but I just feel there's something extra to him compared to others.

He'll be back. At the moment he's just living his life a little, like any one of us would.

He has the most beautiful swing on tour and I'm positive he'll be back to winning ways soon. He's just needs to find the right balance between work and play.

Seriously? I think the kid has a lot more to come, at 23 he already has a few wins both sides of the Atlantic and a major under his belt, most are just finding their feet at his age.
As for saying Westwood has had his year, he has had many years, with a slump inbetween, and hopefully more to come.

With that much achieved so early in the career why wouldn't he want to enjoy some of the fruits of his labours and party a bit, go out with beautiful women and perhaps not work as hard.

In my mind, I'm sure he'll be back at some point as he is too good not to. What would worry me is the hunger going to be there. He'll definitely win across the globe but another Major? Not sure unless he can get the focus 100% back on golf but I reckon he can

I think he'll be back, and with more consistency in a year or two, when he's sown a few more oats.

Did I not say some make it back and others don't quite. Westwood had 7 years outside the world top 20 and Adam Scott plenty of promise until Ana Ivanovic appeared as a bed partner.

I just think someone should give him a shake and explain that he has a God given talent (For those who believe in that sort of thing) and is still in the learning stage of it. Slumps at this stage can end up making a good player out of a great player. Take Garcia as an example, one putt, one major and we could have saw a totally different guy chasing down Tiger.

His swing is too good not win again. He will win again very soon.

I am fed up typing this guys name. Adam Scott one of the best swings on the tour.
Most pro's hit the ball no better than each other, bit longer, bit shorter, bit more fade, bit more draw but generally straightish. It's getting the ball in the hole when it's going well and not dropping to many when it's not. Just look at Tiger in his hayday never missed many cuts and was never far away at the end of the competition. Why? because he didn't always play the best golf but he made the most of it when he did with a -8 round and scrapped round in 2 under when others were throwing in a 4 over round.

That's what has always worried me about Rory, he still hasn't learned to grind out a round but he takes so much time away from competition that he has to play well when he comes back, because he doesn't have extra competition rounds to learn these skills.
