Has anyone had a ball fitting??

The only questions you should ask.

Do you like the ball?

Can you afford to lose plenty of them?

If the answer is yes to both then fill your boots. No to either then look at another.

when I got fiitted for my clubs at AG the bloke told me I would need a premium ball like pro v1, z star and that coz I had a fast swing. My answer to that was I play off 24 there is no way I'm playing with them the amount I loose. Ad333 for me I like there all round playability

Sensible, sounds like you want to improve your game. I too have a fast swing speed and cannot use a premium ball, a 7 handicap so will leave the pro v1s and z stars for the really good players who can make it work for them. I have tested shots with different balls and on a bad day with driver a 10 yard fade with a Bridgestone E6 is a 25 yard fade with a pro v1, I don't care what they feel like, just what my scorecard looks like! I used Top flite D2 straight from 23 down to 9 handicap and still use them now occasionally along with the E6, if you hit them out the middle they feel the same as any premium ball and all my time in golf I've never seen a amateur intentionally and repeatedly put backspin on a pro v1. I have seen plenty of high handicappers though, playing with pro v1s and wondering why they cant keep it straight, just ball snobs who play pro v1s because that's what the pros use, like the feel of them but cant stop them on a green and would rather go round 10 shots more a round and spray it about than use a 2 piece ball!
