I got my wife into golf a couple of years ago, and bought her a beginner set of Wilson clubs to get started, 5w; 5, 7, 9, SW; putter and bag. Nice set that wasn't too expensive that if she turned around and hated the game I would be cursing her.

We're now at a stage where I think she should be upgrading to a full set and better quality, but she has to be the most difficult person to buy clubs for.

She's 5 foot tall, left handed, and has a reasonably quick swing for a woman, very quick for a woman of her height. The range for left handed gear is limited anyway add in being a woman and 6" shorter than average is a nightmare.

Was just looking for a putter on the internet, because the one he has now is far too long, she is gripping at the very bottom of the grip and the lie angle is all wrong. And the standard for women is 33 or 34" long.

Unless anyone knows of somewhere that may specialise I think I will have to get her custom built clubs throughout the bag.

Oh to be 5' 10" with standard length arms and a regular swing speed
