St George is the forgotten patron saint. All the other home nations may a big thing about their patron saints, so why don't the English?

Whilst I agree the other nations big up their patron saints, it's a bit of a generalisation to say the English don't do anything. Some do, and most clubs I've been a member at have a St George's dinner, for which getting tickets to was hard going.

Been reading about the st George flag, very interesting the original colour was a white cross. Made good reading on Wikipedia.

Happy St Georges to everyone.

Roast beef, Yorkshire puds and two veg👍

:whistle:On a Saturday night, on second thoughts have a pizza, after all our saint comes from Italy.

Where I am we've a big festival day today with procession, fair on the green etc.

Should fit right in with my kilt on ;)

Lovely to see the Syrian born saint celebrated.
Happy St Georges day!

As opposed to the Greek patron saint of Scotland or the British born St Patrick.

At least the Welsh managed to produce their own.

I quite agree. It would be nice if all golf clubs did something to celebrate the day.

That's only because they are trying to screw more money out of their customers!

What a prat.
