Even though I wasn’t planned, and you once told me you tried getting rid of me with mystic menstroids and quinine I still love you. And if you manage to read this, your lost.

Gone but I think of her (and dad) every day with gratitude, pride and thanks for what I have - for without them I might well not have it - and for instilling in me values by which I try and live my life - today and every day - and that I hope I have passed on to my children to live by likewise.

Sadly my Mum died when I was two and I have no memories of her whatsoever. Sometimes I wish I had but then also my eldest sister was 13 and of course felt the loss hugely.

In good news though the clever dogs spent their pocket money on a lovely card and box of my favourite Lindt chocolates

My Mum is still going at the grand old age of 97 but with me being in Glasgow and her in Widnes, I've not been able to see her in person for over a year. She's virtually deaf so I can't ring her either but I can video call her thanks to my brother.

Mother's day is every day. Personally I think it's a massive swizz, lining the pockets of already multi millionaire's.

Sorry to be a miserable fecker.

Loved the story of the teenage boy who was asked by his mum if he wanted anything from the supermarket.

It was 'you had better get some flowers as it's Mothers day tomorrow'.
He will go far that lad.
