But is has nothing to do with The Fonz.
Was sat at my desk yesterday lunchtime perusing the GM forums,as you do,when i decided i was going to finish work early and have a twilight at my local course, its a good course for beginners, a par 67 and about 4500 yeards, i've been playing for 2 years so its ideal. My best round had been a 92 about a year ago, this was really starting to annoy me, as i'm a better player than i was 12 months ago(in my eyes), but all summer i've failed to beat my 92, probably had a dozen scores of 93-96.
Anyway, onto the round, struck the ball really well right from the start but after 9 holes i'd gone out in 46(18 points), so i thought, here we go again, a round in the early to mid 90's, but from the 10th onwards it was like i'd been touched by the golfing gods, had 3 pars and a birdie on the back 9 and came back in 39(25 points) for a round of 85!!
I actually woke up this morning, went to the bathroom, looked in the mirror and mouthed 85 to myself.
I haven't stopped grinning yet and have spent all morning at my desk reliving every shot of that back 9, for the first time in my golfing life, every aspect of my game worked at the same time, even my putting, which has been abysmal all year.
Happy Days.
Oh, and it was blowing a gale as well.
