Hands in front

With my driver I play my hands in line with the ball but Iv noticed some people I play with having there hands in front of the ball with the driver, surely this starts a arms only take off. But some how they hit it sweet.

ive been doing this for the last two weeks or so with quite a bit of success. someone mentioned to me at the range and i tried it and liked it. ive now noticed that quite a lot of people do it. mostly people who draw/hook the ball. i know lump myself in that category!
