And in which language can a sane person extrapolate Qualifying; Reduction Only; Strokeplay from QRZ.....?

or do we play Ztrokeplay now...?

Handicapmaster uses 3-letter identifiers on players' handicap records. I tried to show them all in a reply but there were 13,000 characters too many (there didn't seem that many). Here's the first column:

Back again.

It seems to me that it comes down to how the net diff is calculated (how is it calculated)? Or more specifically how is the 'stableford adjustment' calculated (how is that calculated)?

My HC is 17.9 (18) yesterday I shot a gross 91 including a 9 on a par4 and two 8's on two par 5's. The system calculated the 'stableford adjustment' as -2. Why was it not -5 (i.e. 3 shot off the 9 on the par 4 and 1 shot off each of the 8's on the par 5's)?

(Note the course par is 69 SSS was 68, CSS was 68 and the indent was QZH)

The 9 goes down to a gross 7/nett 6, (nett double bogey on a par 4), but the 8s stay as gross 8, nett 7 (nett double bogey on par 5s), so -2 is correct.

stableford adjustment in a competiton rounds down to a net double bogey so the 9 becomes a 7, and 8s on the par 5s are already a net double bogey so no stableford adjustment required.
