apologies for the typning as half canned, 99 . 94 and 98 for my cards, will be 28 but chuffed to bits.

how do you know it will be 28 ? if your lowest was 94 then presuming you had no triples you will be off around 22-24 depending on the course SSS

yeah, you might be lower m8. when i started i had two of my 3 cards in the 100's and started at 21!

cheers for that guys, thought it would be for an average over par, which is 71.Hit 93 this morning but seemingly you only put medal cards in, is this true after your first 3?

Different clubs have different rules on what cards to use, some insist on 3 comp cards, whilst others allow 3 marked by a member.
Broadly speaking to calculate the handicap, the highest score allowed on any hole is 2 over par. So if you hit 7 on a par 4 that will be a 6. When they've made this adjustment then it will be roughly the average of the 3 cards.
