Handicap marking question...

Just a quick question really. Im joining my first club on saturday and my friend is also a member there, if we played a round and he marked the scores would I be able to hand these cards in to get my handicap?

Just abit unsure on how it works to be honest.

Check with your club, at ours you need to sign in to a book in the pro shop before playing a round for handicap. Also the member signing the card had to already have a handicap, but diff clubs have slightly diff rules

Ahh ok, I will ask when I go sign up on saturday then. Im sure I will have a load of other questions to ask too.

Best bet is to give the handicap secetary a ring and just make sure, normally we just state on the card "For handicap purposes" or supplementary scorecard and make sure its filled out correctly and that your friend (who must have a handicap) signs it.
