I'm Starting out at 7.7. I usually don't find any form until around September so if I can sort out the rusty short game I'll be happy with a few Buffers early on as I haven't played much over the Winter.

well my handicap is 19.5 but ive been regularly playing to 15ish all winter but because my old parkland course made all they're winter comps none handicap qualifiying it hasn't come down ,so ive changed clubs to a links and the season starts with a stablford at the end of the month so im hoping to start off with a bang and get my cap down this summer

Our course has been reassessed over the winter and has moved from Par 70 SSS 70 to Par 70 SSS 71 so the way I see it is that we have all been given a free shot. Aim is to be of 6 by seasons end.

So far this year I have played in two qualifiers, both in difficult conditions, and my handicap has gone up from 12.0 to 12.2. In both comps, just enough players scraped into the buffer zone to prevent them from being 'reductions only'.

Idiot boy, I take it that was profit and I will think you will find after yesterdays showing you are £16 down and closer to a 20 handicap than to 12Starting on 12.7.
Will be extremely disappointed if I don't get any sort of a cut this season, start on the 28th at an open at the Hotchkin.
Surely I can't continue with my run of 17 x 0.1s on the trot from when my short golfing 'career' began, can I....?
Ultimate aspiration for this season is to be in prophet from Lincoln Quaker and shouldn't be overly difficult.

Weather issues yesterday and comp was called social to make it fair to everyone - seems everyone got round ok in the end so it could be a qualifier but now found out that some had to play in dark and rush round so back to being a non q

Annual Handicap Review = +1 (15.5 which included lots of grumblings in the bar as I was Player of the Year only 18 months earlier)

I was cut 0.8 the week before I returned to work.
