hand position on set up

I an struggling to get a consistant set up for my irons.When you are about to take your shot where should your hands be positioned inside of your left leg, central near your never regions or anywhere as long as they are ahead of the ball for a right hander. Should the position be the same with every club. hope you understand what Im on about. cheers

Yep. To the left of your naughties.

A common thought is to keep a straight line from the ball to the left shoulder. Nose over the ball.
