fun days golfing in thick mist!
Played Kings Acre (thanks again to Farneyman for the bunkered voucher!)
Lovely wee course, the mist was really bad on the 18th and we played it blind - but still managed a par

36 points for me today, but 40 for the big man...he's needing a cut!

The haar had better bog off tomorrow - cos we're down East Lothian!

Dont forget to put ur clocks forward boys and girls!

;)

Haar would have made that Par 5 'down the hill and then turn right' (15th?) rather interesting!

Thanks for the reminder!

Your lucky course closed due to fog! No longer allowed out in poor visibility!
we were fine for 17 holes, could see the group in front no problem at all. then suddenly the haar just descended on the 18th, luckily the two guys in front were carrying and I could hear them clanking up the fairway!
Managed to avoid two lakes and a pile of bunkers in the mist!

happy days...;)

Comp called off today but they started to let people out around 10.30
By 11.30 the fog had gone and it was shirt sleeves weather.

I might have putted better if I couldn't have seen the hole.

15th - super hole - very tight!! was on for a par putt, but had to settle for a 6. its a lovely course tho - greens were a bit mossy and just been dressed. Havent a clue what the views were like, possibly a nice view of the pentlands?! ;)

We had the same problem, surprised we didn't close and it looks like it's much the same forecast tomorrow.Club's need to be careful as to whether it is playable especially baring Niddry Castle in mind.......

weather forecast claims the haar is going to lift tomorrow!
on 16th today the sun peeked out enough to see a shadow on the ground, 20 mins later I couldnt see my hand in front of my face!

please please please let it burn off!

My club had a rule, if you could not see all of a tree from the proshop door you could not tee off.

Everyone stuck to that rule as it was very easy to check if you could play or not. Everyone got told it and everyone knew when the course was almost playable.

Well what a difference a day makes....glorious sunshine this morning, beautiful morning on the links and made even better with a convincing win and some quality golf!
Not a drop of the misty stuff today

the glen was glorious.

me and my two friends had a great time following a 4 ball who thought they were pros with their fancy gear and tedious set up and wild hooks and slices.

sat with them at one of the par 3's and didnt have the heart to tell the one with the light coloured trousers that he had a stain on the bum...looked like a fart gone bad...

happy day out there tho, great weather, great chat, some skankie golf, but some beautiful shots and good scoring.

;)
