Opinions please.

Just had my lob wedge re-gripped with a golf pride multi compound (green/black) and lovin it.

Do you guys think it would be beneficial for me to regrip all my irons with the same grips. The callaway x20 grips are great but was just wonderin if the same grip on all the irons would be better in anyway.

And are the multi compound good all year round?

Had my X-20's regripped with the blue New Decade Multi in August last year and they've been great in rain, shine, hail, cold, snow etc etc.
Best grips in my opinion...

Certainly the club fitter I saw recommended having the same grips on all of your clubs for consistency if nothing else. Aside from a couple of newer additions all of mine have the same grip with the same number of layers of grip tape underneath.

Tony, replace each of them as and when you feel you are losing any amount of grip on them, its an expensive sport if you have to start replacing all of your grips at the same time.

IMHO they should all be the same, same grip same layers of tape.

The guys who fitted me go for Golf pride full cords, and they puy an extra layer at the bottom half. I was sceptical but it has helped enormously on knock down shots.

Previously I used the multi compounds and found them excellent also.

I've got the black / blue golf pride multi's on my irons and love them. They are pricey but if you buy them off E-bay like I did (£19.90 for 9 grips) you can save a packet. My local pro fitted them for me for a tenner so saved a packet. They perform very well but they do wear out the glove a bit quicker.
