My best moment in golf was 25th February this year
Turned up to play golf with my Pro, my mate who at the time was playing off 14 (plays off 11 now) and another student of my pro who played off 24.
The day didn't start well.. despite calling the day before to confirm trolleys were acceptable we turned up to find trolley ban in place. (rookie mistake I now switch to my carry bag soon as winter months hit and dont change until march) anyways me and my mate borrow a carry bag off my pro.. In rushing to include everything I forgot my water! annoying.
We decide to play match play.. Me and my Mate vs the Pro and his student.. Full handicaps best Net score wins the hole etc etc.
The golf was a slog for me I just couldnt get in the swing.. my mate however plays out his skin..keeps us level until the 15th when I decide to show up..stroke index two. Take the hole with a bogey.. onto a par 3.. everyone misses the green (pro finds the drink) I smash my 5 wood right into the heart of the green.. win the hole.. Then par 5 17th 2 up with 2 to play.. everyone tees off well but me I dont get a great connection prob only 150 yards.. take two 5 woods and im within 4 foot for 3. win the match

Not sure what I would class as a great golf day, if it is best performance then it would be my first and so far only double bogey free round to win the prestigious Nahum Cup at Manchester Golf Club. If it is the best experience then it will have to be playing the Old Course after getting up at 2.30am to queue to get a starting time. Just a great experience from teeing off in front of the clubhouse to standing on the Swilcan bridge for a photo and then hitting a 3 wood into the heart of the 18th green.

My greatest ever golf day was one where I didn't even swing a club.
Won a pair of tickets via Twitter, courtesy of MasterCard, to the Thursday of the 2014 Open at Hoylake. Me and the Mrs pootled down (apparently she was mentioned on Chris Evan's show as well that morning but I didn't have the radio on).
Popped in to say thanks at the MasterCard pavilion and they mentioned that we could text in to try to win a pair of their corporate seats in the 18th grandstand. We were out by the 10th when the text came through that we'd won, better half was having her piccie taken with Vassos from Chris Evans' show by Simon Dyson..... aye luv, get the pro golfer to take your pic with random radio guy....
So back to the pavilion we went to pick up the tickets and were told that there was a "Have a drink with Graeme McDowell" that aft. Free beer? I think so! Checked out the 18th seats for a while, back to the pavilion we go for the beer. Oh, and GMac obviously. It was Bud. Nice and cold. Plus the wife was preggers at the time so I had hers. Mmmmm. Beer.
So GMac does his sponsorship stuff, he was a good laugh, really enjoyed it. At the end he asked two questions. First one I got right. What's the name of his restaurant in Orlando? Nona Blue. Got a driver, signed on the face "To Adam, All my best GMac".
Next question was where did he win his 2010 US Open? Straight away the wife pipes up "Pebble Beach!!" (we watched it whilst we were on honeymoon). I'm wetting my pants as she's got it right before a crowd full of golfers. The prize.... 4 ball playing Hoylake the Monday after the Open. She doesn't play. Shame that. Me and the lads loved it!
So one day at a golf course. 2 tickets in, 2 tickets to 18th grandstand, signed driver, 4 ball at Royal Liverpool. Not bad for sending in a Tweet.

A couple spring to mind......The first time I stepped onto a golf course (Walton Hall) was as a fill in for our cricket club society. I had never swung a golf club before. I came last, but won nearest the pin and longest drive (both using a 4i). I loved every second and been hooked since.
The other is my best ever round in competition. A 1 over gross off the white tee's at St Annes Old Links last year. It was in the first round (36 hole medal) of the 'Old Links Trophy'. I have never hit so many greens or held so many long putts in my life. I crumbled a bit in the second round, but did enough to make buffer and finished 4th overall. Region3 won the trophy that day !

Myself and Paul took on the R's - it was a day of golf that everything happens - birdies , 18 shots in a bunker , a great win and the best company you could ask for
The next was a round at Woburn on the Dukes - it was in aid of my Wife's Grandad who had passed away a couple months previously. We raised a decent amount for charity. I went round 1 under off the whites to win the comp and be the first name on the trophy - will always be honoured about that.
One final day was in a Pro Am last year at Newmarket Links
On a tough day where the Leading pro score was 2 under I shot a level gross round and would have come third - should have been a 1 under round but a silly three putt on 17 messed it up

Not 100% sure of mine, but would probably be the charity day i played on the west course @ Wentworth for a charity Darren Gough is involved in.
We won the team event, and i also won both longest drives whilst also getting to mingle with a load of celebs.

Hard to pick one day out of many wonderful ones on a golf course.
What springs to mind for me are the two or three times as a teenager I and my dad drove off in the vauxhall viva to Fife or Ayrshire for a few days playing Muni's, staying in B&B's and eating fish suppers. Simple times but I look back with such good memories on that now that he's no longer with us. Of course as a 15 year old muppet I didn't appreciate then what a precious time it was.

Yeah, not 100% sure but it was either level or 1 over after doubling the first. I never had a sniff of winning the OOM though as I'd had a pretty pants season lololol Can you remember if we were off the yellows or white tee's at Wallasey ?

Yes indeed, really sums up what golf is all about. My Dad was 1 of 7 but about the only one that never got into golf so I never had that pleasure.

Best scoring golf day I have ever been involved in, was a guest day at Forresters golf club in Maldon, Essex in 2015. For about ten years I only played golf 2-3 times a year. Anyway a client Kevin invites me every year to his clubs guest day(thanks Kevin, top man and has some nice shorts!) called me up for service, 27 holes, food etc. I got teamed up with Ian( who I know as well) and we took on Kevin (and his ex-policeman friend). In the morning me and Ian played pretty rubbish and lost easily our pounds to them.
Afternoon 18 holes, the golfing gods looked down on us and said let it be your day.
It was mental for me and Ian. I was putting in from the other side of the green, chipped in a couple of times as well(I shot 8 over). Ian shot IIRC low 90s(never seen him shot under 100 before), he was the same putting in from silly distance etc and we just blitzed the course, never blowing out together on a single hole. IIRC Think we scored 52 or 53 points on BB. BTW we won our pounds back in the afternoon.
It was such a great day, great golf, great company and nice weather. Just a shame I had to leave to get back to Shropshire, as Kevin got some right old stick when the prizes were given out for our score.:rofl:
PS When we went this year, normal golfing order was restored and back to hacking for us.

My old stomping ground ( and Swannys and Daveys). It wasn't Mr Royan that invited you was it ? It's certainly a track that can yield exceptional scores on occasion but does have "teeth" at times too.
