I think that the Lord of the Rings movie will perfectly fit this description. It has everything: elements of horror, fantasy, friendship, love, and much more. This movie is just great for watching with the whole family. Everyone will find something for themselves in this film.
When I was about 17 years old, my dad turned on this movie for the first time. I liked it so much that I reviewed it again, probably. I even registered on the Tolkien forum - thetolkienforum.com. This is an excellent place for fans of the Lord of the Rings movie. In addition to communication, you can find many interesting articles about the film and the characters.

Good to see this up and running again. Killer Clowns from Outer Space, a classic.

Any of the 80s Rutger Hauer films, in particular The Hitcher or Salute of the Jugger.

Apocalypse Now! And I’d add The Deer Hunter to the list. Hours of my life lost watching them - utter rubbish

Road to Bali, The Paleface … and other Bob Hope and Bing Crosby movies of the time. I love em. Dorothy Lamour and Jane Russell adding the glamour for the boys…who could ask for more. Except I’m not sure that they are such great movies.

Highlander is an awful film, but is in my top 10 of all time, have watched it so many times I've lost count.

Roadhouse also pretty bad but it has Swayze and Sam Elliott's moustache making it one of the best 80's films ever.

Mad Max is pretty poor, but fantastic to watch.

Agreed on both counts.

Since we're talking about critically acclaimed masterpieces that drag on and on, l give you:
2001 A Space Odyssey.
