GPS - Any problems?

Specifically with hazards on the course that are not present on your GPS. I know some of the units allow you to map your own course, but what if a ditch or a bunker is missed off by the original mapper?

What if there is major development at a mapped course. Are you able to update the data on your GPS? Does the info you get with the unit give a clue to this?

Just a thought that came to mind today and wondered if anyone has anything to add?

If a major development to the course takes place I know skycaddie, on being informed, will send a team to remap it.

My course has everything mapped. SC will come out if you contact them (and they are given permission by the club)

on my Caddylite I have notice anomalies in yardage rather than missed hazards. Of the 5 courses downloaded I have had 3 with wrong layout and yardage mistakes.

I've got the sonocaddie v300.
Only been out for an hour with it due to darkness when I get home.
It allows you to edit the course.
You can delete hazards, add hazards of any type, move hazards. You can even attach a "lay up".
First impressions is that it is a super bit of kit.
I will know better after Sunday as that will be the first proper go I have with it.... Wedding Sat grrrr..
