Denver ran the same offensive gameplan they had all year. Run the two outside receivers on 9 routes or deep posts and then go underneath with Thomas and Welker. Seattle went man-for-man on the outside and took their chances on not getting called for holding which they were doing all night. They then used the safeties and the two additional defensive backs as they ran a 4-1-6 alignment most of the game, to beat up on the crossing routes and assume that Denver could not go 80 yards in 13-14 plays sticking with that philosophy. And it worked to perfection. Denver had nothing else to go to after the Seattle line stopped the draw play cold.
Indeed, Kam Chancellor had a cracking game.
