Got the meat for my Superbowl feast tomorrow, and nice big beef rump and pork loin. Pork has had the fat scored and seasoned with a little oil, salt and pepper, that's it just needs heat now.

The beef on the other hand has been treated to my home made dry rub and has been coated, patted down, rubbed and wrapped to sit until it goes on the smoker tomorrow for a 6 to 8 hour smoke.

The grill is coming out, the mesquite chips are soaking, so looking forward to tasting the cooked meat.

To serve, I am making a cheese sauce and simply cooking down a couple of onions till soft sweet and golden, the meat will be pulled apart and soaked in a spicey liquor I'm making and then served in baguettes. Mustard layer, onions, meat, then dipped in the liquor and cheese sauce over the meat.

To accompany this there will be curly fries and cold beer.

Pudding will be a New York style cheese cake and more beer.

Seahawks for the win.

You'll need a bloody Superbowl to serve that lot up in!
Enjoy, my friend.

Blimey - going for the full american expirence including obesity :D

That's a proper man vs food episode going on! I am loving the smoked rump

Dave, love the SB and been doing the late nights for years - beer and munchies. Wish you were just around the corner - HID hasn't a clue!!

Also can't wait, haven't missed a Superbowl for about 20 years or so.

Tomorrows grub will consist of chilli dogs, coleslaw dogs, lots of cheese and barbecue sauce/mustard, onion rings, curly southern fries and a fridge full of guinness.

Ok I know guinness isn't american but I can't stand lager ;)

I don't like American football, but this sounds awesome. Enjoy

Damon fine American feast that sounds like.

I can't wait for Superbowl, I never miss it but then I never miss any of the regular season as well thanks to having NFL game pass.

My food of choice this year is going to be home made chilli dogs, curly fries and coleslaw for the first 2 quarters, whilst drinking a couple Sam Adams. Then after the half time Bruno Mars show I'll be settling down for the 3rd & 4th quarters with the rest of the home made chilli, with cheese topped nachos, Jalapeno peppers, and some sour cream all being washed down with done Jack Daniels Honey.

Don't start work until 3pm Monday so will still get a decent nights skip skip afterwards. Watching as a Neutral so it'll be good I'd like a Seahawks win as they deserve it but equally Mannning deserves it fir a phenomenal record breaking season and to improve his legacy

Sam Adams is good stuff. They do it on draft at silvermere.i drive down there, mooch around the shop, have a pint and some lunch, and go home. Not a bad day in current climes.

Been out and bought chicken wings, ribs, hot dogs and all the various parefenalia after reading the OP. Pity that its all meant for lunch but I am holding a few things back for this evening. GO SEAHAWKS!!

Phase one started, meat on the grill smoking lovely, veggies for the beef liquor roasted and now sitting in beef stock adding the flavour while the meat smokes.

The meat

I trimmed the fat off so I could get my dry rub all over and I've put the fat back over to rend down through the beef. The pork on the left is simply scored and rubbed with salt and pepper, hoping for some good crackling.

And the mop sauce to coat liberally over the meat after it's has been smoking for a few hours.

McEwens amber beer, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, light brown sugar, honey, chilli flakes, Sherry vinegar, grapefruit juice and a good dollop of my home made extra hot chilli sauce.

Had my chilli on the slow cooker for few hours smells superb. Got some jumbo sausages to stick in freshly cut French stick then slap the chilli on top with cheese and sour cream.

Also go the nachos, ready with some jalapenos. Got some sweets and earlier on HID took kids out and told me go bed for a few hours to rest for my late night  Came down stairs to find she also got me a create your own pizza from Asda a few more Sam Adams and a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey :)

Now just to arrange the chairs for prime viewing to watch the build up from 7pm

Now now sure still who I want to win, gonna be a cracking game for the neutral fan. Heart says Manning gets a 2nd ring head tells me Russel Wilson will be the victorious QB

Can recommend the Sunday Roast (though haven't been recently) if you like thick cut soft Beef - like the Salt Beef in Brick Lane's Beigel Bake!

Making me feel like a treat! Another walk to 24Hour Tesco for some Triple Chocolate and some Oat and Raisin Cookies coming up!
